About Mark Rassas

Mark Rassas has practiced law in Clarksville since 1976, when he joined the firm his father, Waldo Rassas, founded in 1947. Waldo practiced for more than fifty years, setting an example of honesty, hard work, and steady devotion to his Clients that shaped the way Mark has approached his own career.

Over more than four decades of practice, Mark has guided clients through difficult divorces and custody fights, business disputes, and serious injury claims — always looking for practical ways to solve their problems and protect them from the ones ahead.

He also served his country as a military lawyer, including thirty years as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) Colonel. During Operation Desert Storm he was in charge of the Legal Assistance Office at Fort Campbell as Chief of Legal Assistance for the 101st Airborne Division, advising soldiers and their families through one of the unit’s most demanding deployments.

Mark is a past President of the Montgomery County Bar Association and a past President of the Tennessee Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, as well as a member of the Tennessee Bar Foundation. His trial work has been named to Mid-South Super Lawyers and rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, and he has contributed as an author to American Jurisprudence, a legal reference used by attorneys nationwide.

My father was a Problem solver and a Protector Of his clients’ interests — that is what I always wanted to be. I’ve tried to treat every client the way I would want to be treated, and helping people has been my greatest motivation.
