Privacy Policy
How Rassas, North & Associates handles information collected through this website. Last updated November 3, 2026.
Contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship
Please read this before you use the contact form or email us. Sending us a message, and our receiving it, does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. No such relationship exists until we have checked for conflicts of interest and both you and the firm have agreed in writing that we will represent you.
Because of that, do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through this website. Information you send before we have agreed to represent you may not be protected by the attorney-client privilege, and we cannot guarantee that an unsolicited message will be read in time to protect a legal deadline. If your matter is urgent, call us at 931.645.4044.
Who we are
Rassas, North & Associates is a law firm with offices at 120 S. 2nd Street, Suite 101, Clarksville, Tennessee 37040. This policy covers the website at rassaslaw.com. You can reach us by phone at 931.645.4044 or by writing to us at the address above.
Information you give us
The only information this site asks you for is what you type into the contact form. That is typically your name, your email address, your phone number, and whatever you choose to tell us about your situation. You decide what to include, and the form is the only place on this site where we collect information from you directly.
Form submissions are delivered to the firm by email and stored in the website so we can respond to you. They are treated as potential client inquiries and handled with the same care as any other communication with the firm.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one collects a small amount of technical information as you browse:
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site, which helps us decide what to write about and fix what does not work. It records the pages you view, roughly how long you stay, the site or search that sent you, your general location (city level, estimated from your IP address), and your device and browser type. It does not tell us who you are by name.
- Cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to recognise a return visit. The site also uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, and WordPress sets a cookie if you log in to the administrative area, which applies only to firm staff.
- Security and server logs. Our web host keeps standard server logs, and our login-protection software records IP addresses of failed login attempts to block automated attacks.
We do not run advertising or retargeting trackers on this site, and we do not sell or rent any information about visitors to anyone.
How we use the information
- To respond to your inquiry and, where appropriate, evaluate whether the firm can represent you
- To check for conflicts of interest before taking on a matter
- To maintain, secure and improve the website
- To comply with our professional obligations and with the law
Who we share it with
We share information only as far as running the website requires, or where the law requires it:
- Google processes the analytics data described above under its own privacy policy.
- Our web host stores the website and its data on its servers.
- Where required by law or by our professional obligations, for example in response to a valid subpoena or court order.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share your inquiry with other firms, lead generators, or marketing companies.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions are retained for as long as we need them to respond to your inquiry and to meet the firm’s record-keeping and conflict-checking obligations. Analytics data is retained for fourteen months, after which Google deletes it automatically. If you would like us to delete a message you sent through the site, contact us and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Your choices
- You can ask us what information we hold about you from a website inquiry, and ask us to correct or delete it.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using the browser add-on Google provides at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- You can contact us by phone or post rather than through the website if you would prefer not to use the form at all.
Children
This website is intended for adults seeking legal services. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information through this site, please contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
This site links to places we do not control, including our Google Business Profile, Google Maps, and our Facebook page. Once you follow a link away from rassaslaw.com, the privacy policy of that site applies rather than this one.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection and we take reasonable measures to protect the information it collects. No website can promise perfect security, which is one more reason not to send sensitive details through the contact form before we have agreed to represent you.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced separately.
